Business Development Manager
Los Angeles, CA
Full Time
Mid Level
Forms+Surfaces designs and manufactures products that shape the built environment at scale. From major transportation hubs to civic spaces and campuses, our work lives where performance, durability, and design matter most.
Our approach is guided by a core principle: Sustainability through Longevity. We believe the most sustainable solutions are those that endure both physically and aesthetically, remaining relevant and performing over time.
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Los Angeles region, focused on our Site & Outdoor product systems.
This is not a traditional sales role. It is a market-facing position responsible for influencing projects early, navigating complexity, and carrying opportunities from concept through realization.
The Role
You will operate at the intersection of design, construction, and manufacturing.
We are less focused on a specific background and more interested in how you think and operate.
You may come from:
Regional Project Experience
Our work is embedded throughout the Los Angeles market, shaping environments across workplace, civic, academic, and mixed-use developments. The Business Development Manager will build upon an established regional presence while expanding influence across future opportunities.
Representative projects below:Located in Los Angeles, California, Playa Vista is a mixed-use community with residential, commercial, and retail components, and an extensive network of open spaces. The neighborhood is home to many tech companies and has become a major hub of innovation. In keeping with the area’s creative culture, Rios Clementi Hale Studios used a variety of standard and custom F+S products to keep pace with the needs of the lively setting.
Sunnylands Center & Gardens is an interpretive center and 15-acre desert botanical garden in Rancho Mirage, California. This project, designed by The Office of James Burnett, won a coveted 2012 ASLA Professional Honor Award in the category of General Design by showcasing the thriving and abundant eco-system of the Sonoran Desert. Thirty-one of our Knight Benches placed throughout the gardens provide visitors with places for quiet reflection and scenic views. Our Dispatch Litter & Recycling Receptacles are also incorporated around the Center’s grounds. The simple lines of our products blend in well with their natural surroundings.
In operation since 1888, Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center is recognized as an international leader in rehabilitation medicine and clinical research. As part of a $418 million makeover, F+S products were selected for a large plaza at the center of the complex. Site furnishings in complementary materials and finishes create a cohesive design that enhances the park-like facility with a unified look.
The Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) is a world-class transit facility in Southern California. With a LEED Platinum certification, the 67,000-square foot terminal sets the precedent for civic-minded transportation hubs in the United States. Fitting for the space, HOK used our products to bring functionality and cohesive design to the mixed-use station.
These projects reflect the diversity of environments we operate in and the expectation that our partners can navigate both design intent and real-world execution.
This role is responsible for building the next generation of projects that define the region.
What Makes This Different
We operate with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and value individuals who take ownership, think critically, and contribute across disciplines.
